Upcoming Service Projects
The next few service projects Friends of Griffith Park has scheduled, in conjunction with the Department of Recreation and Parks, are listed below. For any additional questions or information, be in touch with Laura Howe or send a "contact us" email from our website.
Los Angeles River Clean-up
Saturday May 18th 9am-12pm
Friends of the Los Angeles River and FoGP will team up for the annual river clean up. Come join us for this great event along the LA River. Please meet at west end of Griffith Park's Bette Davis Picnic Area. Please wear appropriate shoes knowing that they may get wet. Rubber boats or any semi water proof footwear is best. This is a great way to meet other people in the community who love the river. You'll see birds and wildlife from a different perspective. We'll send an update on this as the event gets closer!
Things to bring: Please wear long pants and good hiking or tennis shoes. Hat or sun glasses may be a good idea. Also sunscreen is always a good precaution. We will have water but please bring your own water bottle.
New dates for volunteer activities will be added so please check this page for further updates and please send us an email if you would like to be contacted regarding upcoming volunteer activities.
Sincerely,
Laura Howe
