Join Friends of Griffith Park
Join Friends of Griffith Park and Jorge Ochoa for a hike into the Condor Canyon area of last year’s fire where 63 acres were destroyed. Thankfully, Rangers and firefighters were able to stop the fire before it gained momentum. At the same time, the Woolsey Fire in the Los Angeles/Ventura counties exploded into its second day.
While this hike is not terribly steep, we ask that you wear good hiking shoes as some paths are slippery. Also, please dress comfortably, bring a hat, water and sunscreen!
PLEASE NOTE: THE HIKE IS APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS LONG… If you’re going to leave the group earlier, just let someone know…
If you’re interested in attending, we’re asking that you RSVP for this event so we have some idea how many individuals will be in attendance.
This is an in-depth preamble to Jorge’s upcoming lecture at the Los Feliz Branch Library on Thursday, July 11, 2019.
