For our second lecture at
For our second lecture at the Los Feliz Branch Library, FoGP boardmembers Richard Stanley and Brenda Rees discuss what anthropologists and historians know about the first humans who lived in the Los Angeles basin. Before the arrival of Europeans from other parts of the country and Mexico, these tribes were the most powerful indigenous people to inhabit Southern California.
Stanley and Rees will outline how local native cultures originated, where they settled and how they interacted with the natural landscape prior to the moment when the first Europeans arrived in the region.
